This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, east central and eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening
across the entire region. Any thunderstorm will be capable of
producing gusty winds and the Storm Prediction Center has a marginal
to slight risk for severe thunderstorms across the area, with the
greatest risk for western parts of the region.

In addition, showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing
heavy downpours. Flooding of urban and poor drainage areas may occur
and an isolated flash flood cannot be ruled out. The Weather
Prediction Center has a marginal to slight risk for excessive
rainfall for today, with the greatest risk over the eastern
Catskills.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

A rumble of thunder can`t be ruled out late in the day on Tuesday or
Wednesday, but no severe storms are anticipated.

Spotter activation may be needed late today. Spotters are encouraged
to pass along any reports of damaging winds or flooding to the
National Weather Service via phone, email or social media.
