much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Easteern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Widely scattered thunderstorms remain possible across parts of the
area through around sunset. Thunderstorm chances will also
increase towards morning across parts of eastern Oklahoma as a
storm complex to the west may begin to affect this area. Organzied
severe weather is unlikely with any of these storms.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY and FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
SATURDAY through TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A complex of storms may potentially be ongoing across eastern
Oklahoma Thursday morning, with at least a low severe weather
threat developing at that time. Otherwise more widespread showers
and thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into Friday in
association with a stronger upper wave with the threat for heavy
rainfall and localized flooding. There is also a limited severe
weather threat into Friday, mainly south of Interstate 40 where
instability will be maximized.

Daily thunderstorm chances are expected this weekend through early
next week as west to northwest flow aloft continues over the southern
Plains. Scattered storms are forecast each day with at least a
marginal severe weather threat, including locally heavy rain.
