This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon
across portions of the area, with greater coverage possible over
northwest Arkansas and extreme northeast Oklahoma. A few of these
storms could be strong to marginally severe with locally heavy
rainfall. Thunderstorms that develop well west of the area later
today may form into complex, with storms potentially moving into
eastern Oklahoma very late tonight. A few of these storms could
also be strong to marginally severe.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A complex of storms could potentially be ongoing across eastern
Oklahoma Thursday morning, with at least a low severe weather
threat. Otherwise more widespread showers and thunderstorms are
expected Thursday night into Friday in association with a stronger
upper wave with the threat for heavy rainfall and localized
flooding. There is also a limited severe weather threat into
Friday, mainly south of I-40 where instability will be maximized.

Daily thunderstorm chances are expected this weekend through early
next week as west to northwest flow aloft continues over the southern
Plains. Scattered storms are forecast each day with at least a
marginal severe weather threat, including locally heavy rain.
