Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase in intensity this afternoon and evening, with a slight risk of severe weather (level 2 on a scale of 5) as cold front sweeps across the area. All severe weather hazards are possible, including large hail over 2 inches in diameter, damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph, and tornadoes.
