Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase in intensity this afternoon and evening, with a slight risk of severe weather (level 2 on a scale of 5) as cold front sweeps across the area. All severe weather hazards are possible, including large hail over 2 inches in diameter, damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph, and tornadoes. Frequent lightning and heavy rain are also expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... At 608 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Miller Dale
Colony, or 9 miles southwest of Miller, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
