This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Isolated to widely scattered storms are possible across much of
West Central Texas mainly this afternoon and evening. Some of
these storms will be strong and a few may strengthen to severe
levels. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats, in
addition to dangerous lightning and brief locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible each day through the
weekend. Some of these storms will be strong and may reach severe
levels, with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Irion, Sterling and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 812 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms...15 miles north of Merton...moving south at 25
    mph. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to
    1 inch of rain has fallen
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area as the storm moves south. This rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mertzon, Sherwood and Arden.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Ranch Road 853 crossing Middle Concho River, Ranch Road 859
    crossing west Rocky Creek, RM 853 crossing Dry Draw, County
    Road 202 crossing Spring Creek, County Road 113 crossing Dove
    Creek, crossings along County Road 411, Hall crossing Dry
    Creek, County Road 202 crossing Lopez Creek and Sherwood
    Cemetery crossing.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN STERLING AND NORTHWESTERN TOM GREEN COUNTIES...

At 809 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles northwest
of Arden, moving south at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage
         to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Sterling and northwestern Tom Green Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 723 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms as a storm moved southeast over Sterling City.
    Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have
    fallen...just west of north of Sterling City. Flooded
    roadways are likely
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sterling City and Broome.
