Thunderstorms will move through the region this afternoon with another round expected tonight. Some may be severe with large hail and damaging winds, and a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. The highest severe potential will be with the storms expected late tonight. Locally heavy rain may also produce flooding in some areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Periodic storm chances are expected Friday through the middle of next week. Storms may be strong to severe at times, mainly for large hail and damaging winds. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including
the following counties, in north central Texas, Collin, Cooke,
Dallas, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Jack, Kaufman, Montague,
Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Stephens, Tarrant, Wise and Young.
In northeast Texas, Delta, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.
* WHEN...Through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches, with isolated higher
amounts up to 3 inches.
