Widespread showers and thunderstorms expected today as a convective complex moves out of central Texas into the ArkLaTex. Some of the storms could be strong to severe, with some excessive rainfall leading to localized flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Periods of showers and thunderstorms may be possible each afternoon and evening through the workweek into next weekend. Can`t rule out additional strong to severe storms along with localized excessive rainfall. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed later today. $$

...The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Sabine River Near Mineola affecting Smith and Wood Counties.
For the Sabine River...including Mineola...Minor flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Sabine River near Mineola.
* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Expect flooding of low river bottoms with
secondary roadways along with picnic and recreational areas
becoming inundated as well. Ranchers should move cattle and
equipment to higher ground.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening and continue rising to 17.0 feet early
Sunday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
17.0 feet on 10/26/2015.
