...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108.

* WHERE...Bell, Falls, Freestone, Limestone, McLennan, Anderson,
  Leon, Milam, and Robertson Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the
  risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those
  working or participating in outdoor activities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended
vehicles.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest
breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is
an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Severe weather is possible for parts of Western North and Central
Texas this evening. The coverage of storms will be isolated, so most
will not be impacted. However, any storm that exists will be capable
of producing large hail, damaging winds, and possibly a tornado.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
After a brief break from storms during the latter half of the holiday
weekend, storm chances may return as early as Monday evening and
continue daily through the end of the week. The potential for severe
weather remains uncertain at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is likely for parts of Western North and Central
Texas this evening.
