At 1026 PM CDT, Doppler radar earlier indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Beaumont, Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze, Evadale, Buna, Pine Forest, Lakeview, Weiss Bluff, Gist, Wrights Settlement and Devils Pocket. While rain has ended across the warned area, flash flooding will continue for the next couple hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.
