This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 to 8 PM CDT today with heat
indices above 108 degrees across the I-35 corridor, Rio Grande
plains, and the Coastal Prairies.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Dangerous heat persists through midweek. Heat Advisories remain
likely and could expand in areal coverage over the next few days.
An excessive Heat Warning may be needed across portions of the
region on Wednesday.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 112 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of the I-35 corridor, Rio Grande Plains, and the
  Coastal Prairies.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
