southwest Texas and western Texas.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Terrell County and most of Brewster
County this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Hazardous heat is possible Tuesday for a large portion of the area.
Hazardous heat will continue to be possible Wednesday and Thursday,
mainly for the Rio Grande Valley and Davis Mountains.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Temperatures up to 97 expected.

* WHERE...Chisos Basin.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Look before you lock! Do not leave young children and pets in
unattended vehicles for even a moment. Car interiors will very
quickly reach lethal temperatures.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
