...FLOOD WARNING FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM AKDT
MONDAY FOR KWETHLUK...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim River near Kwethluk.

* WHEN...Until 1230 PM AKDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding low-lying roads, infrastructure and
  homes near the river continue. Additional rises are not expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 830 PM AKDT, the River Watch Team reported continued
    extensive flooding in Kwethluk. Flooding was observed
    throughout most of the village inundating many structures and
    roads, as well as cutting off the road to the airstrip. This
    flooding is from the combination of residual high water on
    the Kuskokwim ans well as back water form the small ice jam a
    few miles up the Kwethluk River. Water levels will slowly
    recede but flooding is still expected to continue over the
    next couple of days.

SUNDAY FOR BETHEL AND BROWNS SLOUGH...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim River and Browns Slough near Bethel.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 830 PM AKDT, the River Watch Team reported the breakup
    front on the Kuskokwim River was just below the Johnson
    River. High water behind the breakup front will continue to
    impact lower areas in Bethel along the Kuskokwim River and
    Browns Slough. Water levels will continue to recede as the
    breakup front pushes further downstream over the next couple
    of days.
  - For Kuskokwim River at Bethel:
    At 9:00pm the stage was 9.93 feet.
    Flood Stage is 8.5 feet.

...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON
FOR THE KUSKOKWIM RIVER...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues to be possible.

* WHERE...The following area, the lower Kuskokwim River near Eek,
  Tuntutuliak and other riverside communities.

* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...The Kuskokwim River is continuing to flood from Kwethluk
  downstream to the coastal communities.  Flooding of low lying and
  flood prone areas along the Kuskokwim River continues to be
  possible. Residents should be prepared for high water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - River Watch reconnaissance shows the Kuskokwim River breakup
    front was just downstream of Napakiak. Firm ice is still in
    place downstream of Napakiak, though it is showing signs of
    weakening today. Impounded water from the ice jam extends
    upstream as far as Kwethluk.  Flooding is now a combination
    of residual water from the ice jam and snowmelt. This could
    result in continued high water for several days.
