...SNOW ACROSS THE ANCHORAGE BOWL AND MATANUSKA VALLEY FOR THE
EVENING COMMUTE...

A band of steady snow has developed across the Anchorage Bowl and
Matanuska Valley this afternoon. At 4:30 PM, this area of snow is
heaviest from Midtown Anchorage northeast along the Glenn Highway
corridor. Visibilities may briefly fall to one mile or less at
times in heavier snow bands with snow accumulations of up to one
inch possible. The snow will also be easily lofted by vehicles,
leading to significantly reduced visibilities on area roadways.
The steady snow is expected to taper off tonight before as second
round of snow develops for the morning commute Wednesday.
