This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north Alabama and portions of
southern middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the outlook area this
morning, with coverage increasing throughout the day as a cold front
approaches the region from the northwest.

Widespread thunderstorm activity associated with the front is
expected from late this afternoon into this evening, with storm
coverage diminishing from northwest to southeast after Midnight. A
few strong to locally severe storms will be possible during this
period, with the main threats coming from damaging winds of 50 to 60
mph and frequent lightning. Otherwise, very heavy rainfall may lead
to instances of flash or areal flooding across portions of the

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday...

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible on both
Saturday and Sunday.


Formal activation of storm spotters and emergency management
personnel is not anticipated at this time. However...timely reports
of wind damage and flooding will be greatly appreciated.
