This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire area until
10am.

A Freezing Spray Advisory is in effect for the waters south of
Drum Point toward Tangier Sound until 1pm.

A Low Water Advisory is in effect for the waters south of Sandy Point
to Smith Point and for the lower Potomac River until 10am.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the entire area starting
later this evening and continuing overnight. Significant snow and
sleet accumulations are expected along with ice accumulation from
freezing rain. The impacts may lead to significant travel delays,
closures, and threats to life and property.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the entire area through
Sunday night. Significant snow and sleet accumulations are
expected along with ice accumulation from freezing rain. The
impacts may lead to significant travel delays, closures, and
threats to life and property.

Dangerously cold wind chills are also possible at times from
through most of next week.

...LOW WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels
  expected.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay north of North Beach MD, Patapsco River
  including Baltimore Harbor, Chester River to Queenstown MD,
  and Eastern Bay.

* WHEN...For the Low Water Advisory through 10 AM EST this
  morning.

* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in freezing spray is hazardous.
  Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
  inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
  result in some loss of stability. Strong winds will cause
  hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels. Below
  normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating
  conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.
