SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. RISK...Limited. AREA...Far Southeast Oklahoma. ONSET...After midnight. DISCUSSION... Isolated thunderstorms may be ongoing early this morning across northwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma, however the severe weather trend will diminish toward sunrise and thunderstorms are expected to dissipate. Additional storms may develop late tonight near far southeast Oklahoma and these storms will pose a limited risk of severe weather. Locations near the Oklahoma Kansas border will be another area to monitor for late night storms. Currently the chances appear very low in the area but should storms develop then severe weather will be possible. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY...Severe Thunderstorm and High Wind Potential. THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. FRIDAY through SUNDAY...No Hazards. MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Thunderstorms are likely to develop in or near portions of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas early on Wednesday. Storms will increase in coverage through the day as a cold front sweeps southward. Severe weather is likely with these storms with large hail and locally damaging winds the primary hazards. A tornado threat will also exist with the most intense storms.
