This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat index values across a large portion of the state will exceed
105 degrees. A Heat Advisory will be warranted in these locations.
Heat safety must be practiced, especially during the heating of
the day. It is recommended when possible to postpone activities to
not coincide with the hottest portion of the day. Additionally, if
you must be outdoors in the heating of the day, it`s vital to
remember to wear loose fitting/lightly colored clothing, stay
hydrated, and take multiple breaks out of the direct exposure of
the heat (preferably indoors with air conditioning).

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Hot temperatures and elevated heat index values will continue into
Sunday and persist through most of next week.

It is recommended when possible to postpone activities to
not coincide with the hottest portion of the day. Additionally, if
you must be outdoors in the heating of the day, it`s vital to
remember to wear loose fitting/lightly colored clothing, stay
hydrated, and take multiple breaks out of the direct exposure of
the heat (preferably indoors with air conditioning).

  105 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, eastern, north central, southeast,
  and southwest Arkansas.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 8
  PM CDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8
  PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
