This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening
across south and southwestern Arkansas with some gusty winds
possible. Widespread severe weather is not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected through the
weekend as a slow moving system moves through the area. Rainfall
totals will range from three to five inches for most of the state
with locally higher amounts of 5 to 7 inches possible over
portions of western and southwest Arkansas. Localized flooding can
not be discounted especially Thursday afternoon and Friday night
mainly over western and southwestern Arkansas. Hot and humid
conditions return to the state around the middle of next week with
heat indices over 100 possible.
