...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the following
  areas, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, Cave Creek/New River, Dripping
  Springs, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Globe/Miami, Mazatzal Mountains,
  New River Mesa, Pinal/Superstition Mountains, Rio Verde/Salt River,
  San Carlos, Southeast Gila County, Superior and Tonto Basin.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Abundant moisture will combine with an incoming weather system to
    produce showers and thunderstorms from late afternoon through
    Wednesday night. Rainfall amounts of greater than 2 inches will
    be possible within the watch area.
