...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE THIS MORNING...

.A high tide of about 6.7 ft will bring a threat of minor
flooding of low-lying beach areas this morning.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST
TODAY...

* Surf...2-4 feet with sets to 5 feet.

* Timing...Minor coastal flooding possible between 6 am and noon
  today.

* High Tides at Newport Beach: 6.7 feet at 925 AM today.

* High Tides at La Jolla: 6.6 feet at 921 AM today.

* Impacts...Minor flooding of low lying beaches including Seal
  Beach, Sunset Beach, Cardiff, La Jolla, Mission Beach and
  Imperial Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as strong
rip currents...elevated surf heights...minor tidal overflow...or
lightning are possible at local beaches.  Obey posted warning
signs and flags and talk to a lifeguard before swimming.  Use
caution when in or near the water and always swim near a
lifeguard.
