...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING
TO 7 PM PST THURSDAY ABOVE 5000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the evening commute. Total snow accumulations
  of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 16 inches on the
  higher peaks, are expected.

* WHERE...The San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains
  above 5000 feet.

* WHEN...7 AM today to 7 PM Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
  visibility at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of southwest California...including Mountains below
  5000 feet...Valleys...and San Diego County Coastal Areas.

* Through late tonight

* A cold low pressure moving through southern California will
  bring numerous showers with a chance of thunderstorms towards
  the coast through late tonight.

* Showers will be become more numerous this morning with periods
  of showers continuing into tonight. Thunderstorms and more
  intense showers may produce peak hourly rainfall rates of one
  half inch per hour, especially this afternoon.

* Locally heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding, with the
  greatest threat in steep terrain, especially in and below
  recently burned areas. Flooding of poorly drained and urban
  areas will also occur, presenting a hazard for motorists.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM PST FOR SAN
BERNARDINO...NORTHEASTERN IMPERIAL AND RIVERSIDE COUNTIES...

At 1222 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area.  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
         and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chiriaco Summit, Desert Center, Blythe, Nicholls Warm Springs, Palo
Verde, Bombay Beach, Blythe Airport, Ripley, Midland, Eagle Mtn,
Cibola, Calipatria, Slab City, Imperial Hot Mineral Springs and
Niland.

Affected washes and roadways include Hwy 177 at Big Wash, Hwy 62
Twentynine Palms Highway, Eagle Mountain Road, Kaiser Road, and Black
Eagle Mine Road in Joshua Tree NP.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

rain across the warned area.  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly. This warning is primarily for Box Canyon Road.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
         and low lying areas.

Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of Riverside
County.

Affected washes and roadways include Box Canyon Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
