This hazardous weather outlook is for northwest California.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers will continue into tonight, with locally heavy rain
especially across southwest-facing mountainous terrain, where another
2 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected. Lower amounts will be found in
valley areas, with less than an inch of additional rainfall along the
Humboldt and Del Norte coast. Isolated thunderstorms will be
possible around Mendocino County the rest of the coast.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

No hazardous weather is expected.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
  expected. Gusts from 55 to 65 mph across exposed ridges.

* WHERE...Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, Northern
  Humboldt Coast, Southwestern Humboldt, Northern Humboldt
  Interior and Southern Humboldt Interior Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
