...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
county, Santa Barbara.
* WHEN...Until 115 PM PST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 711 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain falling
across southern Santa Barbara County. Short-duration intense
bursts of rainfall will occur across the advisory over the
next several hours. Overflowing poor drainage areas will
cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Flooding of low-
lying areas is likely.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Barbara, Montecito, Carpinteria, Isla Vista,
Summerland, El Capitan and Refugio State Beaches, Gaviota
State Park, Goleta, and Mission Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
