Gusty winds and lightning are the main risks. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Very strong winds are likely on Sunday ahead of an approaching strong low pressure system. Max gusts upwards of 65 mph are forecast in the valleys with gusts up to 80 mph forecast in the mountains. A High Wind Watch remains in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. The strong low pressure system and its attendant cold front will bring widespread precipitation and much cooler temperatures as it moves through Sunday night into Monday. There is the increasing potential for accumulating snow in the mountains, particularly in the central and northern Colorado mountains where 6 inches or more of snow is possible.
