...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.
  Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM MST Saturday with the heaviest snow rates
  through late evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with icy to snowpacked
  conditions in place. Patchy blowing snow could significantly
  reduce visibility. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

An AVALANCHE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE CAIC VAIL AND SUMMIT
COUNTY...AND STEAMBOAT AND FLATTOPS ZONES.

* WHAT... AVALANCHE WARNING. THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS AT HIGH (LEVEL
  4 OF 5).

* WHERE...CAIC Vail and Summit County...AND STEAMBOAT AND FLAT TOPS
  ZONES Including... Williams Fork Mountains...Ten Mile Range...Gore
  Range...Vail...Park Range...ELK HEAD MOUNTAINS...RABBIT EARS
  PASS...AND FLAT TOP MOUNTAINS.

* WHEN...Beginning 7:00 AM FRIDAY February 5. Expires at 7:00 AM
  SATURDAY February 6.

* IMPACTS...Snow and wind are adding weight to a weak snowpack. It
  will be very easy to trigger avalanches large enough to bury and
  kill a person. Natural avalanches may also run a long distance.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large load of new snow and strong winds
  have overloaded the snowpack. This will create very dangerous
  avalanche conditions through Saturday morning.

* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Travel in avalanche terrain
  is not recommended. Consult www.colorado.gov/avalanche for

This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will continue in the higher terrain of the central and
northern mountains. Expect slick travel over the mountain passes
and accumulating snow along the US 40 corridor.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Light snow will continue in the higher terrain of the northern
mountains. Expect another system to arrive by Tuesday-Wednesday
with another chance of accumulating snow in the mountains of
Colorado and southeast Utah.

Spotter activation will not be needed.
