...RED FLAG WARNING NOON TO 7 PM TODAY FOR THE I-25 URBAN
CORRIDOR...

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Unseasonably warm, dry, and breezy conditions will lead to
critical fire weather conditions along the I-25 Urban
Corridor this afternoon and early evening.

Winds will become strong and gusty across all of the plains this
evening with the passage of a cold front. A few gusts as high as
50-60 mph and local blowing dust will be possible as the front
pushes south across the plains between 6 and 10 pm.

Mountain areas will see light snow showers develop by this
evening, with a dusting to 2 inches of snow.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Wednesday will feature another day of gusty winds and elevated to
locally critical fire weather conditions across the plains, but
this time mainly east of I-25. Temperatures will be cooler as
well.

A prolonged period of more significant fire weather conditions
is shaping up for Thursday through Saturday as winds strengthen
and humidities drop. Thursday will even feature a potential of
high winds with gusts greater than 60 mph in/near the foothills
and over the far northern plains. Unseasonably warm weather will
continue.

A cold front will bring a chance of snow by Saturday night and
Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
