This will keep temperatures around seasonal levels today, with highs mainly in the 80s across the plains, with readings in the 60s and 70s across the higher terrain and into the 80s across the high mountain valleys. A few showers and storms will be possible across southern Sangre de Cristo mountains into the Raton Mesa and southern Tier late this afternoon, with increasing coverage of showers and storms expected across the southeast Plains through the evening and into early Thursday morning. Showers and storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, with a few stronger storms producing gusty winds up to 50 mph and small hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Drier air works into the region from the west, on Thursday and Friday, with breezy conditions leading to elevated fire danger across the higher terrain of the Continental Divide and into the interior valleys. Isolated to scattered showers and storms return for the weekend into early next week, especially over the higher terrain of the Continental Divide. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
