This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will spread into the mountains this morning, and will continue
through the day. Several inches of accumulations can be expected
over the Eastern San Juan and La Garita Mountains, with a few inches
over the central and eastern mountains. Tonight, snow chances will
decrease over most of the mountain areas, although the southwest and
central mountains, portions of Teller County and northern El Paso
County will probably have high chances for light snow, but just
light accumulations overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Heavy snowfall is expected over the mountains through Friday
morning, with isolated lingering light snowfall expected throughout
most of the forecast period. The lower elevations are anticipated to
get around an inch of snow, but some locally higher amounts are
possible, especially near the mountains and over the far
southeastern plains. Snow is expected to cease over the lower
elevations by late Friday morning.

The next storm system is expected to travel over the region
Monday evening through Tuesday with the main impacts being snow
over the mountains and over the lower elevations. Some models are
hinting that this storm has the potential to be quite impactful
across the region (high snowfall amounts and gusty winds), but
there is still quite a bit of uncertainty in the forecast.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
likely today over the mountains, and will be possible tonight over
some of the mountains, and over Teller and northern El Paso
Counties.
