Storms will develop across the southeast mountains through the afternoon, with the best coverage across the Pikes Peak region and Raton Mesa. Storms will spread east across I-25 Corridor through late afternoon and early evening before continuing across the far southeast plains through the late evening and overnight hours. Storms will be capable of producing heavy rain, leading to the potential for flashing flooding, especially if storms form or move across the Aspen Acres burn area. A few stronger storms will also be capable of producing strong winds of 50 to 60 mph, hail to near the size of quarters and frequent cloud to ground lightning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms remain in the forecast for Wednesday, especially for the southern mountains into the southeast plains. Locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding will remain a concern across the Aspen Acres burn area on Wednesday, with stronger storms also producing gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph, as well as small hail. Drier air starts to work into the region from the west, with breezy conditions leading to the potential for elevated fire danger across the higher terrain, especially over and near the Continental Divide on Thursday and Friday. Isolated to scattered showers and storms return for the weekend into early next week, especially over the higher terrain of the Continental Divide. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
