This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over
the mountains this afternoon, with thunderstorms spreading off
onto the adjacent plains during the afternoon and early evening
hours. A few storms may also continue to move east across the far
southeast Plains through the evening hours, before all storms
diminish and end around midnight. The main risks with thunderstorms
will be dangerous cloud to ground lightning and erratic wind
gusts up to 50 mph, with locally heavy rainfall and small hail
possible with the strongest storms. The locally heavy rain could
lead to possible flash flooding, especially if the heavy rain
falls on the newer burn areas of the Spring, Junkins, Hayden Pass
scars.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will remain possible across
south central and southeast Colorado on Tuesday, with the best
coverage over and near the higher terrain. The main threats with
any thunderstorms will be lightning, and gusty winds, with locally
heavy rain possible with the strongest storms.

Drier air moves into Colorado Wednesday through Friday with only
isolated thunderstorms expected over the mountains and along the
Interstate 25 corridor.

Increasing moisture is expected Saturday and Sunday with better
chances of thunderstorms over the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible this afternoon and evening, mainly across the mountains.
