Over the plains, winds will be around 25 to 35 mph, with gusts of 50 mph or more. Over the mountains, wind gusts could exceed 70 mph at times. Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire growth and intensification. Later tonight, light snow will fall over the peaks of the central mountains. Combined with the ongoing winds, blowing snow is expected to reduce visibility and cause dangerous travel conditions. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Strong winds will continue across the area on Sunday, along with critical fire weather conditions over the San Luis Valley.
