...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a High Wind
Watch, which is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday
afternoon.

* WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* TIMING...Sunday evening through Monday Afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
  lines. Scattered power outages are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut,
northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Strong low pressure passing through the Great Lakes and into
southeastern Canada Sunday and Monday is expected to produce strong
winds across the area late Sunday night and Monday. While winds are
currently expected to range primarily between 25-35 mph with gusts
between 40-55 mph, there is a low potential for damaging wind gusts
of up to 60 mph.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
