THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
Weather and ocean conditions will lead to a Moderate threat for
dangerous Rip Currents at the central Florida Atlantic beaches
today. While rips will be present all day, the threat will be
highest after 1 PM due to tidal effects.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. To lessen you chances of being caught in the seaward pull
of a rip current, swim only within sight of a lifeguard, and heed
their advice. Never swim alone.

If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim directly
against the current. Instead, swim toward shore at an angle away
from the current. If unable to escape, call or wave for help.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
Fire weather sensitivity will be elevated through early week as
dry air remains in place across east central Florida. There will
be a slight chance for lightning storms on Friday ahead of an
approaching low pressure system.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today.
