...SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS INTERIOR AND GULF COAST...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Thunderstorms: Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will affect
mainly interior and Gulf Coast areas through early evening. A few of
these storms could also affect western suburbs of Southeast Florida. The
main threats will be cloud to ground lightning, brief gusty winds and
periods of heavy rain which may lead to ponding of water on the
roadways.

Wind: A few of the thunderstorms this afternoon and evening have the
potential of producing wind gusts in excess of 45 mph, mainly over
the interior and Gulf coast.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

There is a chance of mainly afternoon thunderstorms through Friday,
especially over the western interior of South Florida.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Widespread spotter activation is not anticipated, however individual
spotters are encouraged to report high wind and flooding to the
National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are developing this
midday across mainly northern sections of South Florida. Expect
activity to become more numerous over inland areas this afternoon.
Very heavy downpours and frequent cloud to ground lightning can be
expected with the stronger thunderstorms are they move northwest
at 5 to 10 mph.
