...THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON, MAINLY INTERIOR AND GULF COAST...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Rip currents: A moderate risk of rip currents is anticipated at the
times of low tide today along the Atlantic beaches of South Florida.

Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms are possible today, mainly over the
interior and Gulf Coast regions of South Florida this afternoon. The
main threat with these storms will be lightning, heavy rain, and gusty
winds.

Temperatures: Maximum heat index values are forecast to reach the mid
100s over portions of Southwest Florida and northern Palm Beach
County this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

There will be a chance of mainly afternoon thunderstorms, especially
over western interior sections of South Florida, through Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Widespread spotter activation is not anticipated, however individual
spotters are encouraged to report high wind and flooding to the
National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.
