This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Florida Keys and
adjacent coastal waters.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are anticipated along the
Florida Keys and the surrounding coastal waters.

The primary thunderstorm hazards will be cloud to surface lightning
strikes and strong gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible along the island
chain and the adjacent coastal waters through at least Wednesday,
but with less lightning storms anticipated thereafter.

The primary thunderstorm hazards will be cloud to surface
lightning strikes.

.NOW...
Through 530 pm, areas of light to moderate rain will continue across
parts of the Lower and Upper Keys, and the adjacent waters of Hawk
Channel, Florida Bay and the Gulf side. Additional rainfall amounts
up to one tenth of an inch will be possible in these areas. Across
the distant Florida Straits beyond 40 nm southwest of Wood`s Wall
West Crack, an area of thunderstorms is moving northeast at 15 knots.
This activity will produce wind gusts around 25 knots, visibilities
reduced to less than 2 nm in heavy downpours, and frequent cloud to
water lightning strikes.
