A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening across north Georgia. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat. A Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) is in effect. A Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 4) is in effect this afternoon and evening for flash flooding. Slow moving storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall in a short time period that could lead to isolated instances of flash flooding where the highest amounts occur. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... Daily thunderstorm chances will last through the weekend into early next week. Some could be strong to severe and bring the risk for heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
