Accumulations look to be under an inch south of the Highway 20 corridor. In the Highway 20 corridor 1 to possibly 2 inches is possible. The strong winds are expected to create drifting snow this afternoon which may result in roads becoming partially covered with snow. Tonight winds gusting up to 25 mph will help drop wind chills below zero. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY Another storm system will bring more accumulating snow to the area on Sunday. Accumulations will range from a dusting to potentially an inch of two. Winds gusting up to 30 mph will create more drifting snow. Dangerous cold with wind chills of 15 to 25 below zero will be seen across the area late Sunday night into Monday morning. There is a potential for more accumulating snow Tuesday into Tuesday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Snowfall reports of an inch or more will be appreciated. $$

A band of light snow will continue to move southward today through the afternoon hours, with total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible for areas along and north of Highway 30. Northwesterly winds, gusting around 25 to 35 mph, will result in blowing snow, with reduced visibilities of a mile. Lower visibilities are possible in open, rural areas. Additionally, pavement temperatures in the teens should allow some partially snow-covered roads with slick spots. If planning to travel this morning through the afternoon hours, be ready for sharply reduced visibilities in blowing snow. Take it slow on the roadways, and allow plenty of following distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. $$ JTS
