This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for this evening
mainly along and north of a line from Cedar Rapids to Mount
Carroll as a period of light freezing rain may lead to slippery
travel conditions for the evening commute.

Scattered snow showers will likely accompany a cold front
overnight through daybreak Wednesday. The combination of light
snowfall and strong, gusty winds potentially up to 55 mph may
result in brief, significant visibility reductions.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for areas along and south of
Highway 30 from midnight tonight through 9 AM Wednesday morning.
The Winter Weather Advisory will continue through 9 AM Wednesday
morning due to the threat for light snow accumulations under one
inch and blowing/drifting snow is possible, especially in open and
rural areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Strong northwest wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are possible through
midday Wednesday.

There is a chance for light accumulating snow Thursday night and
again Saturday. There is potential for a few inches of new snow with
each round.

Windy conditions are expected Friday into Friday night as arctic
cold moves into the Midwest. Wind chills will approach and may
exceed 20 below zero across portions of the area Friday night and
especially Saturday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter reports of snow and ice amounts and impacts are very
appreciated.
