This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Isolated thunderstorms are possible through this afternoon with
gusty winds and hail the primary threats.

There is a chance for scattered storms late tonight, mainly after
10 PM, but confidence remains low on areal coverage. If storms
impact portions of the area tonight, the primary threat would be
strong winds.

Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest
Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

An active weather Tuesday through Wednesday will support periods
of thunderstorms that are likely to pose some severe weather
threat. Currently, Tuesday and Tuesday night appear to be the
periods with a more widespread severe weather threat.

...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued by Monday evening at 800 PM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S.
  Highway 61 near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain near a crest of
    12.5 feet through Monday morning. It will then fall below
    flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
