The primary risk is gusty winds. More widespread thunderstorm activity, along with localized heavy rainfall, will return this weekend into next week. The specific severe weather risk will continue to refined in the coming days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed. && NWS Des Moines will discontinue the Hazardous Weather Outlook product (HWO) on September 30th, 2026.
