This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Primarily non-severe thunderstorms are expected the rest of this
morning. A renewed threat for severe weather is expected late
today and tonight focused over northern Iowa. The main threats
will be lightning, strong, damaging wind gusts, large hail, and
periods of heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms will continue to be possible at times Thursday into
Friday morning.

Hot and humid conditions are expected Friday through Monday. Heat
index values on Saturday and Sunday may near Heat Advisory
criteria with values near 105 degrees possible.


Spotter activation will likely be needed over northern Iowa late
today and tonight.

...The Flood Warning continues for all or portions of the following
rivers in Iowa...Des Moines River...

  Affecting the following counties in Iowa...Davis...Wapello

River forecasts include observed precipitation, as well as expected
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

Due to the slow changing nature of the this forecast, the Flood Warning
will only be updated in weekly intervals. The next update is scheduled
for Saturday, June 29th 2019 unless there is a substantial change to the

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Des Moines River at Ottumwa, or From Middle Avery Creek near Eldon.
* Until further notice.
* At  9:20 AM Saturday the stage was 13.0 feet, or 1.5 feet above
  Flood Stage.
* Flood Stage is 11.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...fall to 12.2 feet Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Water affects Eldon.
