BOISE...NORTHEASTERN CANYON AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEM COUNTIES UNTIL 915
PM MDT...

At 844 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Meridian, or 7 miles west of Boise, moving north at 20 mph. Spotters
reported hail up to dime size with this storm.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible with this
storm.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Garden City around 850 PM MDT.
  Caldwell around 900 PM MDT.
  Emmett, Eagle, Star and Middleton around 910 PM MDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

When safe to do so, please relay storm reports to the National
Weather Service in Boise via local law enforcement, or National
Weather Service Boise Facebook and Twitter accounts.
