deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Rock River at Afton.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 11.1 feet, Floodwaters affect Riverside Park and a
  road in Riverside park on the north side of Janesville and South
  River Road on the south side of Janesville. Floodwaters affect low
  spots on South River Rd on the south side of Janesville.
  Floodwaters affect a home on South Christian Rd on the east side
  of the river in the Afton area. There is extensive lowland and
  agricultural land flooding in the Afton and Janesville areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 10.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:00 PM CDT Monday was 10.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.0
    feet Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    11.0 feet on 09/13/1915.

* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Some roads are flooded about 6 miles
  downstream in Avon Township in Rock County. In the Avon Bottoms
  area of Rock County, flooding is occurring in Sugar River Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 5.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:00 PM CDT Monday was 6.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 1.9 feet Monday,
    April 27.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    5.5 feet on 03/16/2008.
