This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk areawide...with an associated:
     Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph toward
      central Illinois.
  Elevated Flooding Risk south of I-80 tonight.
  High Swim Risk Lake Michigan Beaches in Illinois.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to cross the area this
morning, with additional thunderstorms capable of producing
damaging winds toward central Illinois late this afternoon and
early evening.

Another round of thunderstorms with an axis of torrential
rainfall and potential flooding across central Illinois could
reach as far north of a Pontiac to Fowler line tonight.

Dangerous swimming conditions continue for the Illinois beaches
of Lake Michigan through tonight.

Wednesday and Thursday...

MORNING...

* WHAT...High wave action and dangerous currents expected at Lake
  Michigan beaches. Waves 3 to 5 ft expected.

* WHERE...Lake IL, Northern Cook and Central Cook Counties.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Swimming conditions will be life threatening,
  especially for inexperienced swimmers. For information on swim
  advisories or bans at Chicago beaches: www. cpdbeaches. com.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions
and do not venture out onto piers, jetties, breakwalls, or other
shoreline structures.
