This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk far south...with an associated:
    Limited hail risk...up to quarter size here.
    Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
  Elevated Flooding Risk south of I-80.

DISCUSSION...

Heavy rainfall will be possible for much of the area late this
afternoon through tonight, with an increased risk of flooding
south of I-80 tonight.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this
afternoon for far southern portions of the forecast area, mainly
south of a line from Gibson City to Fowler.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Friday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Flooding Risk.
Sunday...
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday and Tuesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

An active pattern is setting up for Friday into early next week.
There will be periodic chances for strong to severe thunderstorms.
There is also a possibility that some storms may produce locally
heavy rainfall with a localized flash flood risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed through this evening over the far southern
portion of the outlook area.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

 Moving toward the east-northeast at 30 mph.
