...Lake Effect Snow Showers This Morning...

Snow showers will occur over lakeside areas of Cook County,
including downtown Chicago, as well as into far northwest Indiana
early this morning. Brief heavier snowfall rates will be seen
under some of these showers, with isolated one to two inches
possible especially in northwest Indiana. Where any heavier
showers occur, it could make for lightly snow covered roads and
slippery conditions. Snow will end across far northeast Illinois
likely by around 9 a.m., while across northwest Indiana the snow
will gradually taper through the late morning.

Morning commuters should be prepared for slowed and possibly
hazardous driving conditions this morning.
