This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Dangerous heat continues today with heat index readings peaking
around 100 to 105 degrees. A Heat Advisory remains in effect
into early this evening.

A line of storms is expected to develop or move into portions of
eastern Iowa and far northwest Illinois, roughly along and northwest
of a line from Washington, Iowa to Freeport, Illinois late this
afternoon and evening before weakening. A few storms may become
severe with damaging winds the primary threat. Heavy rainfall and
localized flooding is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Heat may continue to be at dangerous levels for portions of the
area through Wednesday.

An active pattern will lead to near daily chances for showers
and storms through at least Friday. There may also be a risk for
some severe weather and heavy rainfall at times. Any repeated
rounds of heavy rainfall could lead to a risk for flooding. The
Cedar, Iowa and Wapsipinicon rivers in eastern Iowa are especially
susceptible to flooding due to ongoing high water levels from
recent heavy rain in the headwaters.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed for portions of eastern Iowa and
northwest Illinois late this afternoon and evening.
