Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Fog Risk Tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Any isolated non-severe thunderstorms through early to mid
afternoon may produce locally heavy downpours, mainly north of
Interstate 80.
The potential exists for some dense fog this evening and
overnight, particularly closer to Lake Michigan.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 3 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Sunday...
Elevated Frost and Freeze Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A line of thunderstorms is expected to move across the area late
Friday afternoon through Friday night, some of which could be
severe, especially near and west of Interstate-39.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the northeast at 30 mph early this morning then
moving toward the east southeast.

...The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in Illinois...
Illinois River at La Salle affecting Putnam, Bureau and La Salle
zones.
For the Illinois River (Upper)...including La Salle...flooding is
possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means water levels above flood stage are possible, but
not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts. Persons along
rivers and streams in the watch area should monitor the latest
forecasts and be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as
forecast precipitation 24 hours into the future. Changes to the
rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may
cause changes to these river forecasts.

to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Agricultural areas in La Salle, Spring
Valley, and Peru are inundated.
